Operating principle

The safety barriers limit current and voltage in the supply, sensor and measured signal cables of load cells that are installed in hazardous areas.

Connection and Wiring

Connection to the interface is easy. There are two clamp-type plugs at the front. They simplify installation and make the connection secure.  There's a separate screw terminal. It's for attaching the equipotential bonding conductor (EBC). This helps stop electrical potential differences. It keeps the system and people safe.

Versions and Mounting

There are two versions available for switch cabinet assembly, providing flexibility in installation to suit different system requirements. Typically, it is mounted inside a control cabinet, preferably beneath the electronic weighing system, using a 35 mm mounting rail.

Weight and Environmental Requirements

It weighs approximately 1500 g, which is relatively lightweight and easy to handle during installation. The permissible relative humidity is ≤ 95%, allowing it to operate stably in a wide range of environmental conditions commonly found in industrial settings. The permissible error voltage is 250 V AC, providing a certain level of tolerance to electrical fluctuations and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the interface.
